When in Rome…(or Dumbo)

There is a street one block from our building that, at any given time of day, has people standing in it to get a picture. I’ve gotten used to it (hopefully not too used to it, if you know what I mean), but at first it was super weird to me to see brides and Europeans in the street  all the time. It’s a good shot; you can see the Manhattan Bridge and the Empire State Building.

The other day I realized that I should probably get one, or we would move away withing siezing the opportunity and I would see it in people’s vacation photos and in movies and kick myself.

I have to give this dress a shout-out for being non-maternity, but totally getting the job done! I got this Calvin Klein dress for $7 about four years ago at a consignment shop. The color makes me happy and the sleeves are cape-like and make me feel like a super-hero.

dress/ Calvin Klein (thrifted)

shoes/ Jerusalem sandals (love these things forever and always)

necklace/ given to me as a teen-ager (still obsessed with it)

cuff/ urban outfitters

Here’s to soaking up wherever you are now.
